I have been training for over 15 years with Arashi-Do Martial Arts.
I started training in in Karate in 2005 Kyoshi Chris Bonde. I trained for 3 years and achieved my
purple belt. I took a break to start a family in 2006 and came back in 2008 to train in Muay Thai with
Kru Mike Yackulic. Training for 2 years, I achieved my orange prajied before taking another hiatus to
have my son.
In 2012 I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Mike Yackulic and Mestre Sylvio Behring and haven’t stopped since. I am currently a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, an orange prajied in Muay Thai and a purple belt in Karate, and I hope to complete them all once I find time, being a working mom who loves marital arts.
Arashi-Do has always been my home for martial arts and I have been helping as an instructor over the last 5 years. My husband, daughter and son all train martial arts as a family under Arashi-Do.
I have been actively pursuing growth for women in martial arts. Keeping fit, learning something new
and creating friendships within the arts is something I feel every woman should experience. I have
been fortunate enough to compete within the arts, travel to gain more knowledge and have met some
wonderful people in the process. The comradery, constantly learning and personal growth, all while
keeping fit, has always brought me back despite life’s challenges.
