Originally from Montreal, Canada, my family and I moved to Mississauga, Ontario where I
started my martial arts journey at the age of 5. Living there for 7 years, I continued my
training until I was in middle school. In 2013, my family and I moved to Edmonton. I wanted
to continue my Karate training, that’s how I found Arashi-Do Martial Arts.
Arashi-Do welcomed my previous experience in Shotokan Karate. I felt comfortable and
found a new home to restart and continue my martial arts journey. I trained until I achieved
the equivalent of their Junior Black Belt level in 2014. Junior Black Belt was also when I
started assisting under Renshi Jordi and Kyoshi Chris. The start of my passion and journey
for teaching and helping students in Karate. Two of my greatest achievements were when I
got my 1st Degree Black Belt in 2016 and my 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2019.
Starting karate at a young age, I learned to build my confidence, public speaking, managing
work-life balance, and discipline. To this day, I still carry the values and principles that
martial arts has taught me, inside and outside of the dojo.
Becoming an instructor is a new and growing journey in my Martial Arts career and I am
proud to be part of this organization and family. I hope I can empower young girls and boys
with the knowledge and experience I have gained, and continue this journey of being an
instructor and student of Martial Arts.
