When I first moved to Edmonton in 2006 to be closer to my boyfriend, Chris Bonde, I was
then introduced to Arashi-Do Martial Arts.
Being new to the city and also curious about what he did for a living, I decided to take
up some Muay Thai classes to socialize and get to know this Arashi-Do family.
I trained up until Orange Prajied!
In June 2010, I began working the front desk at Arashi-Do Martial Arts Fort
Saskatchewan. After that location grew, Chris then opened Arashi-Do Leduc in June 2011.
I assisted in training a new front desk admin for Arashi-Do Fort Sask. and began
working in Leduc.
As that school got on its feet, Edmonton South was continuing to grow and get busier.
In May of 2013, I assisted again in training a new front desk admin. for Arashi-Do Leduc
and I began working full-time at Arashi-Do Edmonton South.
Since then I have continued to assist in training new front desk admin over the years for
other Arashi-Do locations, and work mostly behind the scenes at various tournaments,
gradings and seminars.
I enjoy being a useful assistant in these and many other areas which help the head
instructors and other staff focus on their task at hand, keeping the students/competitors
the main priority.
It has been an enormous blessing to be able to work alongside such talented
instructors, meet such amazing members and watch the little ones grow into confident
young adults.
Most of all I am thankful to be able to work alongside my now husband Chris Bonde,
and help drive his life long passion.
In June 2020, I celebrated my 10-year anniversary of working as administration
Manager for Arashi-Do Martial Arts, and continue to look forward to many more years
with this ever-growing community.
