Sensei Emily Boland

I started my karate experience at Premier Martial Arts at the age of three. I enjoyed competitions and during this time, I entered many tournaments. One achievement I cherish was competing in a provincial competition in which I ended up getting gold in my division for kata, which earned me the opportunity to go to the Canadian National Championships in Quebec, Ontario, on May 17-19, 2019.

I began training with Arashi Do Karate when I was 10 years old as a red belt. (In my previous dojo, red belt was between orange and green belt). On March 6, 2022, I took part in the Assistant Instructor training course for the first time.  I have been helping teach the karate Little Dragons and kids intermediate classes ever since.

I received Junior Black Belt with Arashi Do Karate on December 2, 2023 when I was 14.  In my karate experience I have earned 7 gold, 12 silver, and 6 bronze medals, as well as 4 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze trophies. I have two younger siblings that are also in karate. I do Ju Jitsu at school and I am on the wrestling team.  When I am older, it has always been a dream of mine to open my own gym with a karate dojo on the side to teach underprivileged kids who cannot afford training of their own. Karate is a great passion of mine and I am very excited to continue on my Martial arts journey with Arashi Do!
